Advantages

1.The weight is reduced by 35%-50%,whilst the carrying capacity is greatly increased.For example,a 38mm thickness extruded plate weights approximately the same as a 23mm solid plate,but the former’s carrying capacity is 5 times greater.

2.Energy efficiency is significant.Production data indicates that in a shuttle kiln firing microcrystalline stone,extruded plate can give a reduction in fuel consumption of anything between 30%-70%.

3.A reduction in bending and distortion at high temperature is achieved.Supported by sic beams, an extruded plate of 1200mm in length will show just a little or no distortion during its service life.This will contribute to ensuring the flatness of the large microcrystalline stone.

4.For the equivalent sized solid plate,the extruded plate’s heat exchange surfce is twice that of a solid one.This improves the thermal shock resistance and a longer life ensued. The resistance to thermal shock also makes this plate suitable for the fast firing application.
